The Barn House

I've always thought it would be awesome to convert an old barn into a home, maybe my future vacation home?

MR Dannijo

One of my absolute Favourite Bloggers, Man Repeller, teamed up with acclaimed jewellery design label Dannijo to create MR Dannijo (MR standing for Man Repeller of course).

The whole collection is tight, but since I can't have everything here are my top picks;

Derek Foreal (named after their fave character from BLOW)

And because you can't have just one, there's a deal on a package of 3. I'll take one of each though.

Aram! What a way to make a statement and be a true Repeller!

And at a mere $158 what a great and affordable investment. Also available in Oxidized Brass.

Last but not least, the Salvador.

What wardrobe is not complete without the perfect 'stache necklace I ask you!?

Sparkle Shoe Boots - Yes please!

No doubt these lovelies will be on many 'must-have' lists for the season, including mine. How can a girl resist?

Available now on Net A Porter.

Karl Lagerfeld for Impulse

That's the name of Uncle Karl's line for Macy's. It hits stores at the end of this month and I'm definitely wishing shopping in the States was a little more accessible right about... now.
Here are my highlights;

That scalloped trim around the neck? *sigh*

And what wardrobe is not complete until you have you're very own tank w/ Uncle Karl on it, I ask you?!

Life Inspiration

To be this stylish and fabulous when I'm a mom.

Yes I realize this is a magazine spread and not real life but who says I can't make this real life?

Magnificent Margiela

This weekend I had the huge honour of giving a well needed home (that is full of love) to these incredible Maison Martin Margiela navy strappy patent pumps. They were looking lost and forlorn on the sale table at The Room and I just couldn't not take them home, especially after I've been following their whereabouts (and price) all season.

I mean Navy Patent people! Does it get better than that?
I don't think so.

It's no secret that I love me a party in the back, or on the inside, and these lovelies have a party not visible until you're right over top!

They are just so pretty I almost don't want to wear them, I want to put them in a glass box on display as art.  *sigh*

Check out The Room or order online through SSENSE.

Have I ever told you...

About this dream (goal) I've had to open my own bridal boutique?

I have always had a love affair with wedding dresses (my collection when i graduated Design school was bridal). And when i see pictures of rings and anything bridal i tend to get giddy. Maybe i love love as much as I love gowns?

I'm not quite ready to do it yet, i think it's something I'll explore after babies. But that doesn't stop me from collecting inspiration. For example, I really want the facade to be very welcoming and and inviting - like this;

It would be by appointment only, my mom would work there part time once she's retired. I'd have a beautiful selection of veils and headpieces that are custom designed for my store (maybe by me?) and displayed in a beautiful antique armoire with glass doors.

And of course I'd fill it with adorable & highly coveted frocks not readily available anywhere else. At a variety of price points, possibly specializing in high end gowns.

It's going to be fantastic. I can see it already.

Office Ensemble for the Win!

Speaking of Quirky Office Chic....

This incredible dress by Sonia by Sonia Rykiel my 'Man Friend' picked out at The Room over the weekend. If it pleases him, and it pleases me, it must be a winner!
Also available on Net a Porter

Quirky Carven Interview Chic!

I am completely obsessed with what I have now termed 'quirky office' ensembles. (read: fashion girl office attire).

As I'm starting to move out of Sabbatical mode and into Interview mode I find myself craving more and more quirky office outfits & pieces to mix and match and Carven is feeding my Craving.

I give you exhibit A:

A gorgeous silk blouse with a tie front, adds a little something of the unexpected.

Pair it with an adorable tweed skirt (exhibit B) like so...

et voila! I give you Carven Interview Chic!

I would ace any & every interview in this outfit, all available at Net a Porter.

PS 11 - PS I Love You

I have been mad crushing on the PS 1 (small, black) for a while now. I still think it's a great every day bag, casual, cool, and slightly over priced.

 *ahem*

However.... today I met the PS 11 tote -  The cool, sophisticated, more structured, yet slightly edgy older sister. The PS 11 moved right past a high school crush, and right into full on L.O.V.E. love. And while having both would certainly balance my wardrobe nicely, the PS 11 is without a doubt on the top of my hit list.  In fact I don't think I've crushed this hard since I first met my pleated leather hobo Miu Miu in Hong Kong 4 years ago, and we all know how that affair ended.

The inverted-pyramid hardware goes perfect with my Eddie Borgo earrings... just sayin.

Available at The Room and at Barney's.

Miu Miu Pre-Fall - yes please

Dresses like this are about the only thing that make me dream of comfortable September temperatures and chic office attire when Summer is just starting and I'm easing into my 'sabbatical'.

Current Obsession(s)

First of all I find myself drawn to EVERYTHING Rosegold.
I've decided it's my official metal. Well that and Gunmetal.
Plus, how awesome are they combined?

Which leads me to these gorgeous studs...
Now admittedly I hardly wear earrings, i've had trouble finding ones that a) i want to wear all the time and b) are comfortable (somehow as I get older I've gotten more sensitive). Sooo.... for me to be obsessed over these here little dandies is saying something.

And I may or may not have a complete fascination (read: obsession) with the entire Eddie Borgo S/S/11 collection.

Vintage Love

I was perusing through my file of inspiration pics the other day and came across this photo of a diamond ring. I instantly fell in love, all over again.

Should I ever be so fortunate to receive such a thing, and should there be any sort of question asked along with it... There's no question what the answer would be.

For my Fortieth...

yes yes, it's years away (cough cough), but still it's good to plan these things.

let's have a moment for the most lovely Birkin I've ever seen. 'Black and White Dalmation' in Buffalo leather.
Have you ever?
Amazing.

Here's a close up of the Dalmation effect...

Visionary

In ten years...

I am married with at least two children. We live in a home that we own with a back yard. It’s big enough for our family to be comfortable, full of art and photography. We travel often for pleasure, as a family and spend as much time as possible with extended family (grandparents, cousins etc.).
We are financially stable and have a financial plan, which secures our early retirement as well as our children’s education – as extensive as that may be.
Creativity is encouraged and fostered in our household as well as my husband and my Core Values. Laughter is the common soundtrack in our home. And although we take two family vacations a year, we take two smaller getaways for just the two of us throughout the year as well. We understand the continual efforts on both our parts that are required to sustain a long and loving marriage.

J'adore Dior

Holt Renfrew sent me a lovely email yesterday letting me know the latest & greatest shoes from Dior had arrived.

I've got my eye on these lovely wedges for day (perfect with some extreme flare bell bottom jeans, me thinks!)

And for night, what could be more classic and elegant than these black leather peep toes?
