Creating Something from Nothing

I have no idea how to embed this blog post from lululemon so you're just going to have to click on the link.

Last September i joined a cast of 3 others in the creation of one of the most amazing projects of all time. I'm  so thankful to have been a part of this journey and i still can't believe how much I've learned and grown in 9 short months. Now it's time for me to create something new for myself, again, and prioritize my personal goals. So please share this post with anyone you know in fashion with experience in design and/or development/production. We're looking for an incredible leader to take the lab to the next level.

GLEE - Sue Sylvester's Vogue

I pretty much died when i saw this. Had to share.

Anatomy of a Birkin

The most coveted bag on the planet. I'm completely lost in 'Bringing Home the Birkin' by Michael Tonello, and obsessed with this illustration by Muntsa Vicente. I am hoping to find a way to print it onto a fabulous textured paper and frame it for my house.

*sigh*

until the day I find a way to Bring Home the Birkin, this framed will do nicely.

Brad Woodfin

One of the galleries down the street from me hosts shows of his work fairly regularly.
I've been waiting for the day to purchase a piece for my own home.
Still waiting, but i think it will have to happen this year.

Growing Up and Moving Home

So this past year has been one of the craziest roller coaster rides full of personal growth and development as well as professional. And i recently came to a decision to start prioritizing some of my larger personal goals. The pursuit also involves a move back to Ontario. Being closer to my family, friends, Goddaughters, and loved ones is more important to me than ever.
Saying goodbye on a regular basis over the past 4 years never got easier, but it always felt right to be far away for all the reasons i was, primarily my career. I'm not totally sure what changed and when but now my job is no longer reason enough for me to be far from those who matter most.
And so without knowing exactly what I'll be doing, or exactly when i'll be moving (sometime in August), I'm taking all necessary steps to do it. I'm looking at it as creating new opportunities. Opening doors that may not have otherwise been revealed. It's time to design in the largest possible way - create the next phase of my life.

when i grow up

I used to want to just look this fabulous. Now I just want to be able to photograph such fabulousness.
I love everything about this shot - hair, makeup, styling, dark moody photo... love it.
